“亚奥理事会”在印度首都新德里成立

在77年前的今天，1949年2月13日（农历1949年1月16日），“亚奥理事会”在印度首都新德里成立。

1949年2月13日，亚洲运动会联合会在印度首都新德里成立，总部设在科威特。1981年11月26日和1982年11月16日，亚洲运动会联合会举行两次会议，会议决定将亚洲运动会联合会改名为亚洲奥林匹克委员会，简称“亚奥理事会”。亚奥理事会举办的最大活动是每4年一次的亚洲运动会。至1998年9月，亚奥理事会共拥有44个成员。中国于1973年9月18日加入亚奥理事会的前身“亚洲运动会联合会”。
